I have been following the NFL site for years, their SEO crashed overnight due to Tech SEO issues mainly Javascript, then they picked right up after fixing these issues and now once again those issues are back. With a vengeance.
Looking at Google’s Rich Results test, all the content in the top nav and footer sitewide cannot be seen by Google, including any of the links. A site as big as the NFL .com with pretty much 0 internal links.
Repeat after me:
‘If the content is not in the DOM, Google cannot see it.’
